This is a blog that I have been reading and observing silently for a year or two. I can see that you're not afraid to be obsessed with things, and people. That's good. Too many of us are afraid to admit our obsessions.

Thank you for writing about something that we actually want to read about. There are so many bloggers who just talk about themselves and no one should really give a shit. But you are refreshing!

Hmm. Well, it looks like the last mark in this guestbook was from me, so here's another one to celebrate the year between them, which is too long. I've recently rediscovered your blog and now I'd like to declare myself a regular reader. And with that let me urge you to keep shelling out the writing. Believe me, the mere fact that southern Ohio managed to produce someone with so much passion for art and culture is hard to believe, and reading your entries helps me remind myself that there's hope for our generation. Actually, that's a bit strong, but sometimes central Ohio, much like southern Ohio, just feels awfully old and dull. So keep it up, because you're not.

And may I recommend some music? You seem to have good taste, so here's a few bands that I think you need to hear if you haven't already.

First of all, there's the likes of Beirut, Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes, Razorlight, The Rapture, The Walkmen, The Rakes, Maximo Park, Editors, The Decemberists, The Bravery, Mando Diao, and The Hush Sound, to name a few.

But you absolutely must hear Franz Ferdinand. Their sound has a very "art house" feel, if that ever applied to music the way it does to cinema, and their songs are extremely catchy and literate. To me they're the epitome of everything good rock music should be.

Anyway, that’s enough for one post. Best wishes and stay inspired!

My mom told me to check this site out, suggesting that it would inspire me with the pursuit of my own passions. And that's been exactly the result. Although my interests lay in writing and film, I appreciate "art and culture" on any medium--even more so when someone celebrates and explores them as you do. Your passion has quickened the growing desires within me. Now, with college just a few weeks away, I only wish I had realized these dreams sooner and shaken the apathy that continues to subdue them. What you have done with this site, and the business you have started, are impressive testaments to a one-of-a-kind passion that will no doubt take you far. You have set an example.

Hi Caroline. I love to read about your passion. It has made me take a look at my life to see where my passion is now. It used to be teaching but now I don't know. Keep this passion and you will be a sucess. Love you, Nana

Caroline,
I was very excited to hear that your headbands are being launched, I remember when I first heard about the idea back at Christmas. It is really neat that it is happening. Keep up the good work. You should be very proud.

Physics teaches us that there is a relationship between space and time. Perhaps art, fashion and culture fall somewhere in between in an attempt to link the two. Your site is unique in that your age invokes memories of similar idealogic thoughts. Yet as the past weekend showed, reality can be starkly different. Keep reaching for the stars and writing instinctively. The world appreciates a person who can not only think, but can more than adequately express their thoughts and relate them to something pertinent.
